Our mission is to create Michigan's finest quality Isle Royale Greenstone Jewelry.
*All of our genuine Isle Royale greenstones were purchased in the rough from a certified pre-1915 estate collection. Just like diamonds, Greenstones formed in ancient lava flows one billion years ago. Greenstones are more rare than diamonds but not nearly as costly in comparison. Chlorastrolite has been discovered
in only one geological area in the world. Isle Royale Greenstones are the most prized for their beauty by museums and collectors. Isle Royale later became a national park in 1940, so from that date forward it is illegal to collect greenstones from the island & its beaches. The gems featured in this limited collection were sourced from an estate of a long-ago treasure hunter, who had collected them on the beaches of Isle Royale prior to 1915. Petoskey stone which is a fossil is known as the Michigan state stone, but in 1974, Greenstone became the official state Gemstone.
