Somehow along the way it turned into this weird thing where if you cook dinner every night, it must be because you’re struggling. Or if you wear the same clothes season after season, it’s because you’re behind. Or if you shop secondhand or wear hand-me-downs, it must be because you can’t afford anything else, when really that’s just called real life. That used to be normal. I don’t know when or how it all got so twisted.

And maybe that’s why it feels so strange now to live in a time where people see a quiet steady life as less than when really, this is the good stuff. 🥹

Making your own dinner.
Seeing the same plates, grow scratches and wear and tear on them.
choosing the  familiarity of pulling out the same pair of pants instead of hunting down a new pair every season to match the trend or aesthetic.
Finding a treasure at a thrift store and knowing it’s
got more story than anything brand new ever could……

That’s not struggling. That’s living to me.

So fill up the sink ❤️‍🩹

Good morning from Idyllwild. We have a shop full of amazing goods. From vintage to new and everything in between. Open today and everyday from about 11ish to 6 and sometimes as late as 8. Check out our newest edition of handmade signs on Kentucky whiskey barrel lids, rings and slats. Or need a sign made let me know and I will connect you with my very talented friends. Strawberries in December is a Southern California desert thang ! And just a short distance away the beautiful town of Idyllwild. It's the week before Christmas and our shelves are all stocked, come on in to Idyllwild's StopLight to fill that Christmas sock. We have some great gift ideas and stocking stuffers, both new and used. We are open 11-6 and will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day too. 12-5

It's two days before Thanksgiving and 4 days until the annual tree lighting ceremony. We will be open all week for your last minute decorating ideas, a nice gift for that friend who's making a tasty meal or getting a jump on some Christmas shopping.
