Isaiah's Foundation approached the new owners and asked if they could include the Sluice Box on the Closer to Heaven home tour which is held annually in the fall in Idaho City as a fundraiser for a kid's day camp. The organizers felt that it would add attraction and boost ticket sales because of people's curiosity about this building/business which had been closed for quite a number of years with
all contents inside (and out). The new owners agreed to touch next to nothing and put the Sluice Box on the home tour so people could see it has it had been preserved by the dust of the years. This turned out to be a great success with about 400 people coming through the doors on that September day. The building was closed up again for the winter and the owners decided it was a "no brainer" to reopen for the good weather months beginning May 8, 2015. The Sluice Box is heralded as the most photographed building in Idaho and many people are curious about it's contents that can be peered at through windows and over the fence. Please join us on the adventure that is BoCo Sluice Box. Everything is for sale! Come find your treasure! In May 2021 the BoCo Sluice Box was sold to Josh, Jamie, Paige and Richard Brown, may they find the happiness and prosperity they deserve on this wonderful property!
