was another fun color challenge featuring Lemon Lolly, Coastal Cabana, and Flirty Flamingo. 💛🩵🩷

After having so much fun experimenting with watercolor backgrounds recently, I couldn't resist trying the technique again. One background quickly turned into two cards!

I love how the same color palette and the same watercolor technique created two completely different looks. One has a peaceful seaside feel with the seahorse, while the other is bright, playful, and ready for summer with the flip-flops. It's amazing how simply changing the stamp set can completely change the mood of a card.

Which one is your favorite—the seahorse or the flip-flops? 🌊🩴

This week's challenge was a fun inspiration challenge!

As soon as I saw the photo, the barn and adorable cow immediately caught my eye, but I also loved the bright flowers. I decided to combine all of those elements into a fun fold gift card holder with a rustic barn-inspired design.

I wanted the flowers in Poppy Parade to be the star of the front, while the sweet little cow is a fun surprise waiting inside. 🐮🌸

I wasn't completely convinced about my first version with the slider closure, so I challenged myself to make a second card using a layout inspired by my talented friend Rachael C**n.

Now I honestly can't decide which one I like better!
Which one is your favorite—the slider barn doors or the star barn design? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

And if you'd like to see me create this fun fold in a future video with a step-by-step tutorial, let me know in the comments. ❤️

One of the pages I've been working on for my website is all about the creative challenges I love participating in. While updating it, I came across the latest sketch challenge and couldn't resist creating a card!

I pulled out the Splash and Relax Bundle and created this bright summer design using the Water & Dotted Lines Mask with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Pretty Peacock inks. After blending the background, I splashed on a little water to create extra texture—such an easy technique that makes a big difference!

💙 Bonus tip: I wanted my baker's twine to match the card, so I started with the gray twine from the pack and colored it with my blending brush and Pretty Peacock ink. It's a simple trick that lets you create just about any color of twine while getting even more use from your supplies.

Creative challenges are one of my favorite ways to get inspired and keep creating. They always encourage me to see my supplies in a new light.

Have you ever customized your baker's twine with ink? If not, you definitely need to give it a try!

This week's Global Design Project Challenge inspired me to try something a little different! Instead of CASEing the layout exactly, I focused on creating a soft watercolor background and letting a single stamped image take center stage.

I absolutely love how this card turned out! 💚 Sometimes the simplest techniques create the biggest impact, and this watercolor background is so easy to recreate using just water, ink, and paper.

If you missed my live, be sure to watch the replay to see exactly how this background comes together. I'll drop the link in the comments!

I'd love to hear what you think! Do you prefer cards with a single focal image or designs with multiple elements?
