Our Indie Bookstore Day is as so good, even if we didn’t find a Golden Ticket.

The family book haul! This is my kind of holiday shopping!

We were able to hit up (made sure to pre-order some with my home favorite earlier this week)

We got to chat with and we are looking forward to reading her books (we picked up two titles).

My 12 year old son and I just finished reading Starry River of the Sky by for school (using Hearth and Story’s curriculum by )

This was such a great read. We explored emotions and got to enjoy stories in the story. Grace Lin really is the master of simile. Routinely we would stop in the middle of a paragraph and just look at each other in the best possible way and be like “what!?! omg!” Or “I knew it!”. Was a fun read aloud that we both took turns reading. The illustrations were simply beautiful.

I’ve been on a Golden Girls kick for a while. Finished all 7 seasons of the original series and I’m not watching the spin off. Did you know there was a spin off? Do you know what it’s called? Have you seen them?

Also, currently reading Murder By Cheesecake by

It’s such a fun read but I’ve been needing to take breaks between reading and watching because this story fits so well into the universe that I mix them up!!!

Do you read multiple books at a time? I do. I tend to have a house book (to read while I have my coffee or I need alone time), an audiobook (for while driving mostly), and an out and about book (for when boredom hits).
