Block kit info for this fall

To help clarify the difference in what will be in this years block kits versus the large bison panels that are also available.

Block kits will be priced the same as last year($7.99) and will include fabrics to piece an 8” finished block and a small bison block that will also finish to 8”. They will also include a bonus quilt label.

Each shop also has a 36x42 large panel of their bison. The requirements for each shops final quilt is that they must include all 8 pieced blocks and all 8 small bison blocks. A shop may or may NOT to to include their large bison in their quilt. Final quilts will be posted around the 1st of August. If the large panel is not in the main quilt, several shops have other quilt kits planned for their large panels

For example the photo has the block kit contents for Sew In 2 Quilts to show the scale of the small block. (Block won’t be pieced of course!)

The quilts from last year‘s Kansas State fair block contests have been made into quilts and picked up by the fair. Last year there were enough patriotic blocks that we could make two quilts that will be given away at the veterans breakfast during the fair and we created a large quilt from all of the Christmas block contest blocks. Once again this year you will be able to purchase tickets for the Christmas opportunity quilt from the fair.
