Reasons I love the sport of fishing
1. Time away from a desk or phone screen.
In modern America, we spend the majority of our lives sitting behind a desk either staring at a computer screen or hunched over looking at our phones. Getting out on the water allows me to reconnect with nature and “escape” the daily grind of the corporate lifestyle.
2. Brings me back to my roots.
I fell in love with fishing when I was 12 years old. I’ll never forget the feeling of setting the hook on my first bass. The thrill of feeling the fish pull on the end of my line was something I’ll never forget. It’s the same feeling I chase every time I launch my boat.
3. Relationships and friendships that last.
Over the years, I have made lifelong friends that I otherwise would not have met if it had not been for fishing. These are people I can call any time of the day or night if I need help and they’ll be there. The business relationships created are second to none as well. This is the most supportive industry I’ve ever been involved with. Everyone tries to help each other, even businesses competitors! It’s a great feeling when you know that people have your back and want you to succeed.
