OBSESSED is an understatement… this pink mini tote bag from Blushing Books is my new baby!🩷 Working on a little collab project for Day to Day with Mariah, so keep your eyes peeled! I couldn’t help picking out some goodies to fuel my reading addiction while I was filming! 🫣

From romance to fantasy you won’t recover from, today’s lineup is soooo good. Also these adorable books from are officially in store, get them quick before they’re gone!!

But we have to give an honorable mention to The Shippers by Katherine Center 🚢💛 Kayla got this one as an ARC and absolutely LOVED it. A second chance romance set on a cruise ship? Say less. She flew through it in two sittings and already knows it’s going to be one of her favorite feel-good reads of the year! Warning: she did book a cruise after reading it! 🤣

We’re hosting our very first BOOKMARK CONTEST and we want YOU to help design our next Blushing Books bookmark!! 💕📚

This season’s theme: ✨SUMMER VIBES✨

Think beach reads, sunshine, romance tropes, poolside pink, and all things cute + bookish!

Here’s what we’re looking for:
💖 Front + back design
💖 Include our logo, socials, and address somewhere on it
💖 Can be hand drawn OR digitally designed in Canva/Photoshop

⭐️ 1st Place: We’ll print 500 of your design as our LIMITED EDITION summer bookmark + a $50 Blushing Books gift card!

MEET OUR BOOKSELLERS!!! 💕📚

We are so excited to officially introduce the amazing team helping make Blushing Books feel like home. From shelving your next favorite romance to hyping up your latest five-star read, these booksellers are already bringing so much heart, fun, and chaos (the good kind) to the store 🫶

Building Alabama’s first romance bookstore has been such a dream, and getting to grow our team makes it feel even more real. We cannot wait for you to meet them in-store, chat books, and fall in love with this community right alongside us.

OFFICIALLY INTRODUCING (from left to right) -

*Carson (he/they) can be spotted in the best Heated Rivalry vest to exist and is a local comedian and romcom enthusiast. He is currently reading an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) of Queerleaders by Olivia A. Cole and Ashley Woodfolk.

*Izzy (she/her) is a writer of what she calls “sad girl romance” because she harbors a deep love for stories that have an emotional gut-punch. When not writing, Izzy can be found at Bookclub, annotating in the margins of books, watching hockey, or having a one-woman jam session to Taylor Swift with her cats (appropriately named Ivy and Olive Garden). She is currently reading Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan (which is a 5 star read!)

*Kayla (she/her), one of the co-owners, is a contemporary romance girlie and is beyond excited about this summer so she can read by the pool again! She’s a sucker for a fake marriage and is currently not willing to put down Student Union by Julie Murphy until she’s done.

*Anne (she/her), one of the co-owners, is a lover of anything dark or fantasy. She can’t get enough stories with strong FMCs or moody MMCs. You can usually find her chauffeuring her kids around town or mixing a fun cocktail based on her latest mood read. She is currently reading Speak by Ruby M Darling.

*Payton (she/her) is a writer, book nerd, and baker who lives half in stories and half in whatever’s currently in the oven. She is currently reading Any Means Necessary by Lila Herron and trying not to emotionally spiral while her cat silently judges her.
