So, I thought I'd try something a bit different. The unfinished harp you are seeing is a Spiorad 34, done in Claro Walnut, with a Western Red Cedar sound board, and Osage Orange (Bois d'arc) trim. A hard oil, hand rubbed finish was applied to the wood, with no stain or tint. A collection of images can be seen at https://photos.app.goo.gl/LnNA2vUfRc4N5xL39.
When it is completed, it will have a full set of Camac Levers, and North Shore String bass wire strings. The difference, is the buyer will choose the type of strings to be used to complete the harp, fluorocarbon, biocarbon, or nylon. In addition, the buyer will be able to select between black oxide, or nickel plated, tuning and bridge pins.

Had a great time at this year's Somerset Folk Harp Festival. Great people, and very well run event.

Informal poll:
All harpers have strings break, it's one of the few checks in the "Cons" column of playing a harp. What I'm curious about, is are there strings, or ranges of strings, where you have experienced a higher breakage rate. Just to kick things off, I've seen a higher rate of breakage (with Savarez fluorocarbon strings) for the C and F colored strings. They also seem to have a bit more stretch when getting a new string to hold pitch. It may have to do with the pigment embedded in the string.
On the other end of the frequency of breakage, I've never had a wire wound string break.
Feel free to chime in, I'm not going to flood your phone and email with sales promotions.
