I just wanted to thank everyone that stopped by my booth at the Cabell Midland Band Festival this past Saturday. The turnout was great and we made a lot of really good contacts with new customers and a bunch of custom orders. As always, I love seeing kids get excited about seeing tiny versions of their instruments on display. For all you front ensembles, I'm working on some percussion designs that I can live with... stay tuned. Remember, Christmas is fast approaching and I'll need some lead time to get any custom orders completed. Message me here soon! Here's the story about these earrings. If you don't know what Pinterest is (seriously check it out), it's like a digital scrapbook for saving or 'pinning' pictures of all sorts of creations, designs, and ideas that other people have posted for viewing. I had pinned to my jewelry page, a set of steampunk earrings called "Flight of Fancy" by about a year ago. Since then, people that visited my page have REpinned this to their pages around 850 times. Seriously, I get notifications daily that someone has repinned something from my page to theirs and it's almost always this picture. Since it was so popular, I decided I HAD to make a pair even though it wasn't my design. The jewelry making community frowns upon copying designs so I just wanted to make it clear that I did not design it. Also, tracking down the parts was very difficult and took some deep diving into the interwebs. But, finally, I found them (not cheaply), and created these. I hope you enjoy, because there will only be a very limited number of sets made. I will however, be creating some of my own wirewrapped designs in addition to these.
