A friend here in town just posted this and it needs to be addressed by the contractor hired by the Harper school district. Travis has worked hard for his business and as the mayor of Huntington several years ago. He is a volunteer on our fire department and EMS service, he was here when Marie took her spill August 1st. Let’s hope that something can be done to make this right and to make him whole. Let’s hope that this contractor will do the right thing, prayers that it will work out!!

Our friends down the river just posted this, but wanna get it out to anybody that was planning on coming down and thinking you were gonna launch your boat or use the facilities at Spring Recreation, it ain’t happening!! Again the smoke and fires are really impacting this whole area still. But there are no actual fires around us any longer but several still in the general area which is where all the smoke is from. In fact it’s so thick today you can’t even see the windmills sitting on the hills above town. So with that being said prayers to all the people on the lines fighting these fires 🔥 here and throughout Oregon & Idaho. Stay safe out there everyone!!

So me and my grandson (Easton Dixon) just wanted to inform everyone that CentutyLink , our phone & internet provider, lol 😂, the laughing emoji is because if you have “EVER” been unfortunate enough to have to use CenturyLink for your phone or internet service you just know. But we have been informed that the phone line to the store (541-869-2855) will be “DOWN/NOT WORKING “ until they can get a person out here. And unfortunately that person is not gonna be here until August 5th. So here is Jaylon’s cell phone number 208-571-2925, and if you have questions please call his number, and yes him and his wife are the new owners. Thank you all very much!! So this was JUST issued but the Snake River Road is
“ CLOSED” as the fire 🔥 out of Fox Creek has forced it’s closure. Please avoid the whole area past Morgan Creek, I’m not sure if they have it closed right out of Huntington or further down , but regardless you WILL NOT be able to go from Huntington to Richland. Stay safe out there everyone and prayers to all those living down in the areas affected and prayers to all the people on the lines fighting all these fires throughout Oregon, Idaho and Washington.

I just want to remind everyone again that the store “WILL NOT” be opening up at 8 tomorrow morning. The auditors from OLCC will be arriving between
8 & 9 am , once the audit is completed then Jaylon & JoHanna the “NEW” owners will be taking over and opening up the store. I ( Robert) will continue to be there until the end of the month to assist them with everything. And to an even more positive note, and with much thanks to Brian Fleming our OLCC District Manager, he was able to make what I considered the impossible,possible. Jaylon & JoHanna were issued their temporary off premises beer 🍺 license at 8 this morning. So there will be NO interruption in beer sales, it will be business as usual with everything. Thank you all for this amazing run over the last 30 years , it’s been a blessing. We are looking forward to many adventures in our future. Please come in and welcome Jaylon & JoHanna to the community. Some big news here, on July 15th, 2026 there will be OLCC auditors in the store counting all the liquor. Their arrival is to be around 8 Wednesday morning, we WILL NOT be opening the store until the audit is completed hoping by 10:00am. Now this day is also significant as the new owners will be taking over the store that day. There will be a small “hiccup” as they will probably not have their beer 🍺 license by then so there will be NO BEER 🍻 SALES, from July 15th until they get their beer license. And they will update on here once they have gotten it. They will be taking over this page as well and continue to give you all updates on everything. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to ALL our customers and friends over this AMAZING 30 year run. Thank you all for making this a great little mom & pop store and supporting us this whole time. Cindy & Monique have agreed to stay on and so they will still be here on Sunday’s & Monday’s, and we would like to give them a great big THANK YOU as well for getting us out of there a few days a week, lol 😂. And lastly is to introduce you to Jaylon & JoHanna Bardwell, they will be the NEW owners of this fine little establishment on July 15th. They have great plans and we only see great things happening with them, and bringing some much needed services to this area, that I will let them spring on you all. So this will probably be my last post as the owner here, glad I could help many of you out and could make some of you smile 😃 over my stupid posts. We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July weekend. If you have nothing planned and would like to join our little community for our celebration tonight please “ Come on down” we would love to see you all. So there’s many things going on and as many have seen or heard changes are a coming . When things are more “official” we will then make the announcement 📣. But in the mean time we would like to THANK YOU ALL, for what has been an amazing 30 years, and for Marie 40 years here in the beauty shop. We have been blessed to have met so many wonderful people and become friends with so many. God has blessed us with a wonderful community that we raised our 3 children in and provided a wonderful life for them and us. So from our family to yours, have a wonderful weekend!
