How is everyone? It's been a while. We know a lot of you took advantage of the ice fishing season this year. We hope it was fruitful through the hard water for those that took advantage.

We are on the precipice of the most anticipated Pennsylvania fishing season opener of the year! We have been hard at work stocking our shelves in preparation.

With this prep comes some news, info, and reminders:

We are stocked with:
-medium shiners, fathead minnows, and rosie red fathead minnows.
-Waxworms, golden grubs, and maggots (spikes).
-Yes! We have a limited run of Butterworms.

News:
We have been experiencing intermittent phone issues. These issues can effect our credit card machine. Please have cash if possible to avoid any issues we may be experiencing.

Info:
We will have special hours for this weekend.
Thursday, April 3rd: 7AM-7PM
Friday, April 4th: 7AM-8PM
Saturday, April 5th: 5AM-8PM
Sunday, April 6th: 6AM-8PM
Monday, April 7th: 6AM-1:30PM
Tuesdays-CLOSED per usual.

Reminders:
-we can no longer use Social Security numbers to look up a file for licenses. A CID number and/or a driver's/photo ID is acceptable. A Social Security number is still required to set up a new file for someone that has never held a hunting or fishing license.

-Parking: please be considerate, at any time our dogs could be getting walked. Though we do our best to mitigate any issues, it is a long day and they will need to be taken out when possible.
-Pull up into the driveway towards the exit as far as you can to allow access for those behind you. Please allow access in front of the shop for handicapped and impaired customers.

After a bit of a crazy week last week, all is well and we're back in the groove. We appreciate everyone's well wishes. We are open for all our normal hours, 7AM to 6PM except closed Tuesdays.

We apologize for any inconvenience but hope for your understanding...due to a family medical emergency, we will be closed until Saturday morning at 7AM. This can, of course change, so please be patient. We will keep you posted as best we can. Stay warm, stay safe.

We have our winners! We apologize for the delay and seemingly going dark on the raffle drawing. We endured some family loss and some shuffling, but we are back and we have the results all have been waiting for!!

1st prize of the Barnett Stalker 405 crossbow package goes to Nicolas Josselyn of Maine. Thank you Nick for stopping by the shop on your visit to our great state and donating to our local Fire Department.

2nd prize of the glass bladed knife hand-crafted by our oldest son goes to Walter Derhammer III of Bellefonte, PA formerly of Hunlock Creek. A graduate of Northwest Area, you will always be a Ranger to us. Congratulations on your win and thank you as well for your donation to our local Fire Department. This knife boasts a 6.5 inch blue fiber optic blade hafted to a burly maple handle hand carved with inlaid twisted blue wire and deer antler end cap. Whole piece measures 11 inches even, and if we can brag a little, has a perfect balance.

We wish we could give a prize to all that entered our annual Ernest C Besancon Memorial Raffle benefitting the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Your donations are invaluable to the Department and their efforts in providing their services to our communities. On behalf of the department, we thank all of you for entering and taking a chance while helping those that help us every day, and helping us keep Ernest's memory with us at The Bait Buddies. Football season is in full swing. If you have known us for any length of time, you know we live and breathe Northwest football. The picture here is our hours for this weekend through Monday.

Tonight, September 6th, we are open until 7, but no licenses can be issued after 5pm.

Saturday we are open 6AM to 7PM.

We are CLOSED Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to observe some family time (September 8,9,10)
