Another Sarita flamenco guitar is ready to meets its new owner this morning!

Materials: Torrefied Lutz Spruce top; Monterey Cypress ribs and back (with Black Walnut center strip); Black Walnut headstock plate and rosette; Butternut neck; Katalox fretboard and bridge; Rosewood tuning pegs. Scale length: 604 mm. Weight: 2 lbs, 3.8 oz.

It is a sad day for the lutherie world, and for me personally. Maestro José López Bellido, one of the world's finest classical and flamenco guitar luthiers in the Granada tradition, has passed away. I met Maestro Bellido in 2004 while I was living in Spain. He graciously opened his workshop to me for a few precious hours, and inspired me to become a luthier myself. He was a humble gentleman, generous with his time, and very patient in answering my many, many questions.
