Buckeye Discs would like to welcome our first sponsored player, Tyler Schrock! Tyler has been playing disc golf since Fall 2010 and is an up and comer in the Northeast Ohio disc golf scene. He has been shredding the local advanced scene and is looking to make the jump towards Open this season. Tyler has also been picked up by MVP Discs Sports for the 2018 Season. Tyler’s current PDGA rating is 959 and that is good for the best Amateur rating in Northeast Ohio. Tyler has won more than 20 Tournaments in his career. His First tournament was in 2011, and shortly thereafter he got his first PDGA win in 2012 at the Seth Burton Memorial (Fairmont, WV) in the Intermediate division. He has also founded a weekly league and hosts annual tournaments at Malone University, along side this he has started to coach Ultimate Frisbee at Malone, as well as start a Disc Golf club at the University. Tyler also graduated from Malone University in 2011, which is where he was introduced to the game of disc golf. After spending time in PA and Denver, CO he moved back to the Northeast Ohio area in 2015 after his Wife(Anne) was hired by the University(Malone). Day to day Tyler builds and maintains websites for small organizations, with clients in several states including, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. He also has part time positions as an instructor at Stark State College, and as a club sports coach at Malone University. The other main hobby in Tyler’s life is distance running, he said he primarily enjoys 5ks and half marathons. Buckeye Discs is super excited to have Tyler as an addition to the team for the 2018 season!
