We appreciate the interest our customers have shown this. But please understand we are no longer in the business of selling Christmas trees to the general public. We sold most of our stock of trees at the end of the 2023 season and have sold off some of the lots in the back.

Thank you to everyone who has been to Snowshoe Tree Farm in our 42 years of being in business. All things change as time goes by and we will no longer be open to the public as a Christmas tree farm.
My family and I are grateful to all that come to our farm over the years and we hope we have brought to joy to your Christmas'.
We have enjoyed having you visit us and allowing us to serve you and will cherish the many fond memories of those visits.

Thank you to all of you who came out to the farm this weekend. It was a beautiful weekend.
We will be open again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 24, 25 and 26 from 9 am to 5 pm. The weather forecast looks good for another nice weekend.

Thank you to everyone who has come out to see us this weekend! We sold an incredible amount of trees between Friday and Saturday, far exceeding our expectations and tree availability for the entire season. Unfortunately, due to these incredibly high sales, we will be closing for the season when we close for the day today, Saturday, November 26th.

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! We will be open starting this Saturday November 18th from 9am - 5pm, continuing Sunday with the same hours. We look forward to seeing you and your family soon for another year of holiday memories!

After a record-shattering post-Thanksgiving weekend, we've made the difficult decision to close for the season, effective immediately. Our goal is always to provide you and your family with the highest quality tree every single year, and we simply do not have the trees to meet that goal in the face of another potentially record-breaking weekend.

WHO'S READY FOR CHRISTMAS TREES???

It's almost time, friends! Here's a little frequently asked questions rundown for everyone.

We'll be open Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 5pm. We'll still have all your favorites available for cutting, including Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir, Fraser Fir, and Balsam, along with our farm fresh wreaths, made from our own cuttings of Concolor and Douglas fir and white pine.

A few FAQs:

Q. How much are the trees?
A. Our trees are priced by the foot, and vary by species. You can find our most up-to-date pricing on our page, Snow Shoe Tree Farm.

Q. How big are the trees?
A. We've got a little bit of everything from 5 to 16 feet, though the bulk of our trees are in the 6 to 10 foot range.

Q. How do I cut it down? Can I bring my chain saw/electric saw/really old hand saw I found on the back of the shed?
A. For the safety of staff and customers, we do not allow chainsaws. You're welcome to bring your own hand saw of you'd like, but we have extremely sharp and efficient hand saws made specifically for this purpose available for free, and we can give you a quick tutorial if you need it. It's easier than you think!

Q. Do you take credit cards?
A. We take cash, check and major credit cards. We do not have an ATM on site.

Q. Do you have pre-cut trees?
A. We do not. All our trees are fresh cut in the field by you on the day you visit to ensure maximum freshness .

Q. How do I take care of this thing? Will it shed it's needles all over my house?
A. The best method of caring for your tree is to:
1. keep in your garage or outside in the shade until you are ready to put it up. If it's been more than a few hours since you cut it, you should make a fresh cut on the trunk, at least 1/4", to allow the tree to take up water.
2. DO NOT STRIP THE BARK TO FIT IN YOUR STAND. The tree takes water up through the bark.
3. Try to avoid placing it near sources of heat, and ensure your stand is large enough to hold about a gallon of water.
4. when you first fill the stand, warm tap water is best. Make sure that the water level always stays above the bottom of the trunk, or the cut will seal over with sap and stop taking water.

Q. Do I need to add aspirin/sprite/floral food/bleach to the water so it keeps it's needles?
A. I think we've heard all of the various christmas tree "hacks" at this point, and still recommend only tap water. Additives won't extend the life of your tree, and some will speed up the needle drop.

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Yes please!! We even keep a supply of treats in the barn for our four-legged customers. We welcome non-aggressive dogs of all kinds, and just ask that you keep them leashed, and clean up any droppings.
