🌻🌲🪾UPDATES 🪾🌳🌻
It's been an amazing and quiet summer of reconnecting and resets and now it's time for some big updates!!!!!

1. For those of you that have asked and heard otherwise.......NO, I have NOT moved out of state, and I have no future plans too. My children, my home, and my heart is rooted local!
2. Finding Roots is STILL joining forces with RAW Art Makerspace to bring an Art Education Center to Livingston County.
3. The space we had hoped for sadly DID fall through, but we ARE currently hunting for that perfect spot to bring your favorite handmade art and workshops back to the community!

Stay tuned for more and more updates! We are working HARD everyday to make sure you and your family have a raw space to make and create. We are always looking for Artists and Community members to help bring this space into reality! If you would like to be apart of this exciting project, let us know!

Finding Roots and the non-profit Grassroots Arts Initiative are joining together to create a “makerspace” in Livingston County.

We finished our last Messy Art workshop for the little Primary Artists in our downtown Howell space. Don't worry- there will be more art for the little artists in your life in our new space! Follow us for the big reveal- until then stop in and enjoy local & handmade art while we are still here!

Less than 30 days left in our downtown space! What a wild and crazy ride the last 9 years have been! Come visit us before we move on to bigger and better! We are here Wednesday thru Saturday 10a-6pm and Sundays 10a-3pm until April 19th.

I'm super excited to announce that this Spring will bring a move and groove of Finding Roots and Grassroots Arts Initiative, 501(c)(3), joining together to create a MAKERSPACE in Livingston county!

The Non-profit and Finding Roots have been on the search for a new space that has a parking lot, is handicap accessible, multiple classroom spaces, room for a retail section, and within walking distance of downtown/schools. We have worked with community leaders, real estate brokers, and investors to secure a space, and we are NOW in the process of growing & building an art education center to include Finding Roots retail for our existing customers and people of all ages and experience. Like a gym, but instead of workout equipment, the center will have art-based equipment that young and old can have access to, to learn, create, and to sell. We are calling this center, RAW ART Makerspace, because all creativity starts in the raw.

Finding Roots will be MOVING!! Our last day downtown Howell will be SATURDAY APRIL 19th from 10a-6p so we can begin on this amazing journey toward the Makerspace. Stay tuned for more details to come!

Over the last 9 YEARS, we have been able to serve our community with handmade love. It's been an honor to host artists creative wares & create meaningful bonds snd friendships. We have made many smile, cry, feel, and heal. We have made and shared a piece of our heart and soul. We have made a difference! We have FOUND OUR ROOTS here.....but the time has come to cultivate our roots and start in the RAW to bring more love, healing, and creativity to our community! It's sad to leave the space and garden we started in, but it's exciting to see us transplanted to GROW somewhere new!

Thank you for the PEACE & LOVE for so many years~Thank you for loving our nature based shop, our vibe, our workshops( more to come) our talented Makers, all of Finding Roots and thank you for allowing me to love YOU!

Here's to the next adventure! Here's to RAW Art Makerspace! Here's to moving, grooving, and growing!
