Goetsch Tree Farm: Rooted in 1904

A family farm that has survived 120 years is something more than special - its history, life, and love all wrapped in one sweet bow. When our farm first took root in 1904, the world looked vastly different. Our field has weathered two world wars, the Great Depression, some wicked Michigan winters, and more changes than our founders could have ever imagined.
Through all the storms the years have had us weather, our trees kept growing, and families kept coming home for Christmas. Generations of care and heart have made sure that every tree we have planted shares a piece of that history. This farm has always been about more than just the trees.
From the hands that planted the first seedlings, to the ones that we care for today, this farm has always been about passion and love for our small and cherished piece of this world. This is about tradition, and about the friends, family, and community we treasure. It holds the memories dearest to us, bound to our hearts and deeply rooted in this land. Our farm is about the hope that we can share with future generations to keep history alive.

This year, when you bring home your Christmas tree, you’re taking home a small part of a story that began more than a century ago, right here in Howard City.
