Last month I visited Arlington Cemetery, the resting place for some of our country's greatest heroes. Once I saw how wide and far the cemetery spans with grounds covered in tombstones I had so many emotions and questions. It was eye opening to see how many people give their life for our country. And this does not include the many soldiers buried throughout our nation but seeing this many together really has a strong impact. Thank you to everyone who has served, who is serving, who is married to someone serving, who is the child of someone serving, who is the parent of someone serving, who is the best friend of someone who is serving. It is a sacrifice and I thank you for all that you give up to protect our country. You might have a hero living next door to you, working with you or standing on the corner next to an intersection you drive thru daily. Do something nice for them today, even if it is just with kind words.
