Remembering Charlie of 𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 on his first Heavenly Birthday (𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟓, 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏) 💔

Charles David Eddy (Charlie Don’t)

Charlie lost his valiant fight against a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, the most aggressive type of brain tumor, back on December 23rd, 2025.

Here are a few snaps of him from better days and a video of their debut album release show here at Cactus back in October 2024. Sending out love to his partner and bandmate Lauren, his family, friends, and the local music scene, which was left with a huge hole with his passing.

Cactus Ladies, 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 you to join us today 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟱𝘁𝗵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗮𝘁 𝟱:𝟯𝟬 𝗣𝗠 as we celebrate the release of Thomas Csorba’s third studio album, 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺. As always, complimentary beverage service is provided by Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲‼️

“There’s a comfort level in Csorba’s writing on this album that was hinted at on his first two records but is fully realized here. He’s no longer out to prove anything to anyone but himself, and you can hear it in a song like “The Big Time,” when he sings, “By the time I hit the big time / The time’ll all be gone.” There’s an acknowledgment that chasing fame isn’t the end goal. Much like Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, Csorba’s music is not aiming for the charts or packed stadiums, but instead for a songwriting legacy that lives long after he’s gone. 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 is the sound of an artist settling into himself rather than constantly reaching for something bigger.”
