As a stay at home mother and entrepreneur, I know the frustration of desiring things that are far out of my reach financially. But it occurred to me that I don't have to have a $1000 handbag to enjoy the presence of luxury in my life. I enjoy the things that make everyday life easier and bring joy in small moments. A gorgeous cozy blanket on a cold day. A beautiful coffee cup to start my morning.

A stunning blouse that flatters. Or even pretty salt and pepper shakers that make me smile every time I use them (which is daily!)

As a mother, wife and business owner, these are the luxuries that make a difference to my sanity. In fact, that's why I set out to prove that Luxury doesn't have to be out of reach. EK Tristan is bringing luxury to the "masses". We at EK Tristan strive to make you feel like a million bucks even if you don't have a million dollar pocketbook! Luxury is no longer synonomous with "elitist". Forget overpriced designer items just for the name! That is called "status". And we don't care about status here at EK Tristan. We care about quality and indulging all of your senses. We believe that the art of pampering yourself is at the heart of Luxury. Not price! A gorgeous necklace, a delicious box of gourmet chocolates, a stunning dress, or a luxurious throw are all part of Life's little luxuries, no matter the price. We will be hand curating items, always keeping in mind the true meaning of luxurious; pampering yourself with Quality, Beauty and a luxurious Experience. If we can find name brand items for a great deal, then we will certainly bring them to your fingertips. But we know there are amazing companies that provide quality for a much more reasonable price range! Along with great internet deals, we seek specialty, handmade, vintage and boutique selections to indulge your fancy. All will be available as we find them. Most items will be on a limited basis, so check back often! Remember, indulging in something you truly love is a gift that keeps on giving. Beautiful. Timeless. Delicious. Decadent. This is just ONE neighborhood in North Houston, off of Cypresswood in Spring TX.

I was shocked that these houses flooded, they seemed like they were built so much higher up off the street than most.

But this area was close to the Cypress Creek which flooded most neighborhoods on either side and f it.

This Subdivision was on the north side of Cypresswood. Cypress Creek is actually south of Cypresswood and that subdivision was even worse!

I am worried about the mold issue. The physical devastation is clear and visible, and horrible though it is, these homes will be restored. But the silent issue is often toxic mold.

My family has a genetic sensitivity to mold and just driving through these neighborhoods set off my sinuses big time. I cant imagine what these people are going through and I fear they will continue to deal with the health implications as the months and years go by.

I pray this is not the case. But we have an entire city that was inundated with longstanding water and bacteria, the breeding ground for mold.

Mold is a serious health hazard and cannot be ignored. In the following days and weeks, take notice of any increase of illnesses in and around any of the flooded areas.

So sad about so much tragedy from Hurricane Harvey, and now Florida and Puerto Rico are going to be hit by Irma! We have family in Florida, but they are leaving south Florida tomorrow.

Keeping all in my prayers! Be safe and smart!

Tips for all in the path of Irma and especially those on the coasts:

*Evacuate!
*Take important docs WITH you, in ziplock bags.
*Take a backpack with snacks, flashlight, batteries, clothes, especially spare socks, underwear and personal info, also xtra pre-charged phone battery charging pack.
*MUST bring something to break windows in case of emergency!
*Take extra water and a filled gas can in trunk in case of shortages during evacuation
*BACKUP your computer to cloud storage!!! Take with you if you can
*For home items you cant take with you-Place as much as you can in water tight bags and containers, sealed with duct tape. Also place water tight label inside with your name, address n contact info in case they float away, you can hopefully be reunited with them later.
*If you think your home will flood, in a 2sty home, move furniture and other non waterproof items to the 2nd floor and even to top of closets or on top of furniture, ie dressers, beds, to save as many items as possible from water damage.
*If you do stay in your home, write your name and important family contact numbers on your arm.
*If water reaches 2nd floor, Do NOT evacuate to the attic unless there is a window to escape from. Move to the roof and bring a white blanket n flashlight to signal for rescue, and an emergency backpack with you.

$120 - (Orig Retail $248) I believe this is a Limited Edition. A beautiful black leather Vintage Coach 9734 Hamptons Frame handbag. Features a cute button style twist snap closure. Very clean with little to no wear on the outside. Gorgeous little bag for that perfect little black dress or everyday use. Has Coach metal keyfob with leather tassle and small "Coach" stamped zipper pull inside. Outer zip pocket on back may be able to hold a cell phone, fold over kiss lock pocket in front for small items. Roomy interior with inner zipper pocket. Pale blue inner lining has minor discoloring from age, barely noticeable. No stains or tears. (No dustbag)
