Corningware and Visions Houston

This is a video of my half of our booth H 10 at the Antique Gallery of Houston. It is in Spring, just off 2920, open 7 days a week.
I have about 250 pieces of Corningware and Visions and rotate it in and out.
I also meet people in various places around Houston, usually Cypress, I 10 West and Bellaire.

Fireside/amber lids were used on Corningware patterns made in the early 90s. Near the end of that era, 94ish, a few clear lids appeared as production lines changed over. The abundance of the clear lids in current ads are mostly replacements. (They fit, only sharing for accuracy.)
The fireside lids are not common, since only produced for 5 years.
I've held this set until now to provide accuracy.
Found one missing fireside lid just yesterday.

Classic Black is a relatively unknown Corningware pattern, only made from 1990-94 and only serving pieces made.
From elegant dinners to informal get togethers using pink, mint or yellow as accent colors, it makes quite a statement.
2.8 liter casserole in excellent condition.

Sneaking this Corelle platter in since it is also a brand of Corning. Platters are becoming harder to find, possibly due to their increased popularity as salad plates.
This is a 90s pattern, Abundance. There is also a Corningware pattern Abundance and goes well with cranberry or Amber Visions

This Corningware Blue Cornflower was made between 1972-88, the later years. The plastic lid is a nice bonus, they are very hard to find. Three piece set is 1.5 quart in good condition.

Pricing is individual option, but this is ludicrous. This vintage Dutch Oven is listed at 999.00. Um, I have one for 50.00.
It's also 5 qt, even though it is marked 4 qt. I put a lot of time into research to.knowvstiff like that.

The couple who selected both of these this week have been regular clients at my biz Pet Stuff Resale since 2002 or 03! This is their first venture into Houston Thrift Stuff, from which I sell a wide variety of home goodies.
I have lots of Corningware and Visions, meet folks at various places around Houston and share a booth at the Antique Gallery in Spring.
The husband just found a book of Campbell's soup recipes,
asked what I could find in the 1.5 qt range.
This is All White 1.5 qt and French White 1.6 qt.
(This is vintage Corningware, the newer French White is stoneware which I do not sell as it is not as versatile.)

This is an unusual item from Corningware, a microwave dish with a "waffle" lid for easier refrigerator stacking. The lids are now almost rare, these were only made in a few patterns.
They were developed when frozen veggies first came out in bricks
This is the smaller size, 5"x7".

Men are tough, present wise..what to get them?
Corningware All White and French White are great for guys that cook, very versatile and no foo foo pattern designs.
Pyrex lids can go to about 425 degrees, but the white pryroceram can be used with even any outdoor kitchen ensemble near and dear to a guys heart. Never too cold or too hot for it.
Of course can go from cooking to table top to refrigerator or freezer, one dish, less mess.
The dish on the left was probably a slow cooker insert, 3!liters it looks, great for soups, chili, spaghetti....

This unusual set of Corning dishes is uncommon, but not rare. Three together is close to rare.
Vintage cranberry, not made since early 2000s, it was originally considered a chip and dip set. It functions easily as well as soup and sandwich combo. That would be grilled cheese and mater soup to this Southerner.
The bowls had plastic lids when made, I have only seen in in all of these years.

Just found this beauty at an estate sale this morning:)
Love living in a rural area, several Longhorns came to check me out as I was leaving.
Vintage Visions 5 qt Dutch Oven in cranberry. The bottom is slightly pebbled to provide a hint of friction with glass topped stoves
In excellent condition
The seller told me her kitchen was done in aubergine at one point and she has more still packed. I hope so.
The online prices are of course ludicrous..up to 112.00 plus shipping.
