Let's do a quick run through of the differences in agate and carnelian 🖤
Both carnelian and agate are members of the quartz family, carnelian is an orange red color that resembles flesh, it has few inclusions and has a foggy appearance. Agate on the other hand is transparent and because of the way it forms banding is commonly found inside. Agate comes in a variety of colors, red included. The tricky part is that technically carnelian is a type of agate. The sequence of bands is one factor that can potentially tell them apart. There's a very thin line between determining agate from carnelian and as someone with just and Intro to Geology class under my belt my best guess is that this is just a beautiful red orange agate.

Our next sale coming up will have a few different types of agate featured in it. One of which is this gorgeous "carnelian" agate. Agate has quickly become one of my favorite stones because you can literally find it in all colors. I've seen a lot of this "carnelian" agate for sale but here's the thing, carnelian and agate are two different things and as you know I'm never going to sell you something with a name that I can't validate myself or through the proper scientific means. Doesn't make it any less beautiful or make me not want to keep it all. Just be warned "carnelian" agate is a trade name to get sales. There are differences in the two that I'll go through on tomorrow's post 🖤

🖤 Tetragonal Crystals 🖤

These crystals have three axis at right angles to each other. Two axes are of equal length and are on the same plane, the third main axis is either longer or shorter. Apophyllite, chalcopyrite (peacock ore), vesuvianite, rutile, wulfenite and zircon are examples of this type of crystal. These crystals are associated with the throat chakra and are good for balancing, transmuting negative energy, inner peace, spiritual growth, and resolving problems.

So not only can you use crystals for their metaphysical properties or color vibrations you can also use them based off of their crystal structure. There are 7 basic shapes that crystals grow in, today were talking about cubic or isometric structure. These have got to be one of my favorite crystal structures.

Crystals always form in an organized way. This formation, or lattice, forms an energy field in and around every crystal. It is this energy field that works with our own energy field to bring about healing.

Cubic crystals have six sides, all the same length and at right angles to each other, forming aperfect cube. Six faces, all squares. Fluorite, garnet, lapis lazulli, lodestone, pyrite and sodalite are examples of this type of crystal. As these crystals are associated with Earth energy they are associated with the root chakra, (The cube is a symbol for Earth.) They are great for stabilizing, grounding, purification, balance, productivity, health, loyalty, leadership, virtue, harmony, and organization.

Hey y'all! I'm back from vacation. Spent a little away time in Texas hill country and got to relax and recharge. It was so incredibly peaceful and beautiful.

Now that I'm back I'm going to plan for another live which I will post a poll for and also I'm going to be better about making sure to post everyday, something crystal related regardless of what it is. I'm not sure how many of you read my very first post but I am getting my certification in crystal healing and it's a course that's offered by so many different places for ridiculous prices when most of the information you're given is readily available on the internet. So I thought as I go along in my reading I'd also make posts to reference what I'm learning so you can learn too. I want y'all to get the most out of your crystals and I am here to help. So anytime you have any questions just let me know!

💙 Blue Fluorite 💙

Blue fluorite calms the emotions and stimulates clear communication. It promotes orderly, sequential thoughts and enables one to direct the brain’s activities toward an intended purpose. It inspires gentle honesty, a sense of justice, and letting go of obsessions, frustrations and disappointments. It can bring trust, faith, patience, and respect, lending the focus we need to become more sincere, act more responsibly, and become more trustworthy.

Blue Fluorite activates the Throat Chakra, the voice of the body. If it is blocked, or out of balance, it can affect the health of the other chakras. When it is in balance and open, it allows for the expression of what we think and feel.

💛 Raw Citrine clusters from Brazil 💛

I'm probably a little partial to citrine as it's my birthstone but it may also be because citrine is also such a great spirit lifter. The color yellow represents happiness, clarity and sunlight. It represents the 3rd (solar plexus) chakra, right under the ribs and above the navel. It aids logic, memory, concentration and is full of creative and intellectual energy.

Citrine's associated astrological signs are Aries, Gemini, Leo and Libra and has an elemental association with Fire and the Sun.
