I am overwhelmed by the kindness of people. So many of my customers over the past 35 years have become more than friends. Since I closed my door to new framing orders, I have had so many visits by my customers wishing me well. I’ve received many cards doing the same and phone calls. I received this gift from one of my very special friends. She is in hospice and painted her last painting with the help of her husband. It was a beautiful painting of a waterfall. A few days ago her husband called me and asked if he could stop by. And this is what he gave me. It was a gift from his sweet wife, a hand-painted card and this beautiful necklace. In her handwritten card, she told me that she wanted someone to have it who was as passionate about art as she. She wore it for over 20 years. I am so blessed, and so thankful for all of the people that I have come to know over the years and have shared their stories with me. I sincerely wish I had kept track of all of the stories that accompanied their art pieces. Every one of them had a story. Some made me laugh, and some brought a tears to my eyes. Each one was a treasured memory or an accomplishment. I am going to miss everything about my business. It’s been a long journey, and one that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I’m excited to retire, but I’m really going to miss my customers. Framed by Kathy has been a huge part of my life for 27 years, 35 years of you count my years at The Frame Gallery in Commercial Systems. It’s been a fun ride!
