We have lost another member of the Clayton’s Range family. Thomas “Doc” Dooley was part of our team for many years. He proudly served our country in the Marine Corps, and then became part of the Philadelphia Sherriff’s Office until he was
medically retired. He worked for me for a number of years and was an integral part of the business after my father passed. He was always ready to help customers or do any of the other less glamorous jobs that need to be done. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Semper Fidelis Marine. Say hello to the old man and Gratz for me.

It’s been a little over a month since the fire. All of the inventory was damaged and has been sold off to a salvage company. I am waiting on the structural engineer’s report to see if the building needs to be torn down.

I went to the shop this past Saturday to deliver some repairs to customers. When I opened the door I found 2 inches of water across the floor. It seems that some of the snow on the roof melted and finally broke through and was pouring into the office. Just can’t seem to catch a break.

In lighter news, Trish has been doing great in our home. She has full run of the house, and she is getting used to her new brother and sister, Scruffy and Coco.

I’d like to thank Tony and this crew from DVSC for letting our members use their range thru the end of July. Thank you to everyone who has reached out offering a kind word or help or prayers. It means a lot to myself and my family.

From now until the end of July, all Clayton’s Range memberships are being honored at Delaware Valley Sports Center. If you have a current membership with us, just show your membership card to receive range access during this time.

As you may know, we experienced a serious fire at our range Monday afternoon. I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to every person who called, texted, DMed, commented, stopped by, offered help, and most of all to our first responders. This entire situation could have been far worse without the support of so many of you. What we know so far is that the fire originated in the big range and spread to the small range, both of which are completely destroyed. The storefront was relatively untouched from flames but the smoke and water damage is quite severe. As of right now we are not certain what started the fire. Luckily, every person and animal was able to escape uninjured. We are working on too many things to name right now but for those of you who had fi****ms in the store or active memberships, we appreciate your patience while we come up with definitive solutions for how we will be remedying everything on the customer side of things. We will continue to update as we find out more. All of your support is greatly appreciated.
