I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone for joining the All Star Blackbeard's trip this spring. Ultimately, this experience blongs to all of you who came along for the camping party on the water. While I can't speak for others who organize trips, I believe it's the group that makes them special and the leaders who are along for the ride—and you all certainly made this one memorable. This trip marked the beginning, and it was truly enjoyable, especially considering the weather and luck we had out on the seas.
The crew thanked myself and Tim H for bringing together a great group, reflecting well on UWW, but also on everyone who participated. We made their jobs easier, giving them more time to enjoy life and celebrate with us, while also providing opportunities for exciting dives that others might miss. Once again, thank you all, and I look forward to many more great dives ahead!

Congratulations to Devan C. on clearing her advanced certification dives while on not only her first trip, but her first live aboard!

And a belated happy birthday to Spencer F who spent his birthday out cruising the scenes of the Exuma Cays. I dont think anyone expected what would happen when they asked what kind of cake he liked. But they certainly made him a cake, maybe it's Maybelline or maybe it's just milk!

It’s been a wet few weeks for the training department. Last weekend we took over Lake Hydra, with our spring Central Bucks courses finishing their open water dives on the west side, and on the east side our May advanced class wrapped up four weeks of comprehensive training that leaves them confident to make the most of our great local diving.

This weekend we had just a single diver brave the weather to complete her final open water dive. Despite the steady rain, visibility under was the best we’ve had this season- probably because there were only a few other small groups of divers willing to dive in wet conditions. Of course, we had the hot dog stove going strong to warm up topside.

And last and definitely least, congratulate Matt, Leighton, Bob, and Brenden who recently earned their Divemaster certification. With nearly six months of mentoring from 7 different Underwater World instructors, these guys are truly prepared to handle the responsibilities that come with a professional rating.

Check our website or call and bother Tim at the shop; we have a ton of new training opportunities that were just posted. Guided local diving is also available anytime at any of our great local sites; our new DMs would love to show off their hard-earned lake-front parking privileges.

While you’ve been stuck at work all week, Captain Kromer and the rest of our band of pirates have been gallivanting through the Bahamas aboard Blackbeard's Cruises. They have reported finds of snorkeling, cliff jumping, sharks, pancakes, romantic dingy cruises with the first mate and of course nonstop world-class diving. Will there be any rum punch left when they return to port on Friday? Stay tuned.
