Cate Ivers is here at Harbor Books reading from her new book, Every Rescue Has a Story. This collection of stories of the rescue of animals and the saving of people reveal how acts of kindness often rescue the rescuer as much as the one being saved. Lots of upcoming events at Harbor Books! Tomorrow, Wednesday May 27 at 6 pm meet Cate Ivers, author of Every Rescue Has a Story. This Saturday, artist and author David Done will be in store with his artwork and books. Sunday the all-genre book club meets at 11 to discuss Tilt by Emma Pattee. Then in June, the monthly meeting of the Hoquiam writers group, author Brian Anderson, artist Amber Buck, and more!

All-Genre book club meets the last Sunday of each month from 11-1. April's read is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. May's read is Tilt by Emma Pattee.

Flights of Fantasy book club meets the second Monday of each month from 6-7:30. May's read is Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Canas. Junes's read is Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab.
