Stop Wasting Energy Boiling Water!

🔥💧 Boiling water sounds simple… until it’s not.

In an emergency, energy is limited:

Propane runs out
Firewood takes time (and effort)
Batteries matter

And yet… most people plan to boil everything.

🧠 Here’s the problem:

Bringing water from cold to boiling =
👉 a LOT of wasted energy

Especially when all you really need is:

Clean water
Controlled heat
Efficient use of fuel
💧🔥 A better way:

PortaWell + PortaHeat = a complete system

💧 Filter water → safe to use
🔥 Heat only what you need → no overkill
🥩 Rehydrate and cook efficiently
🍲 Real-world scenario:

Dehydrated meal →
Add clean water →
Apply controlled heat →
👉 Done.

No excessive fuel burn.
No waiting forever.
No guesswork.

💬 In a real situation, it’s not just about having resources…
It’s about using them efficiently.

Out of Propane...

😬 Out of propane… sorry.

A lot of prepper setups depend on:

Propane
Gas
One single fuel source

And when that runs out?

👉 Everything stops.

🔥 That’s the problem with single-fuel systems

No backup = no heat
No heat = no cooking
No cooking = no real meals

💡 This is why fuel flexibility matters

With PortaHeat, you’re not stuck:

🌿 Burn kindling
🌲 Use sticks you find around you
🪵 Run wood pellets from storage

👉 You adapt instead of running out

💬 Because “out of propane” shouldn’t mean
you’re out of options.

💧🥩🔥 If you had to boil preparedness down to 3 things… what would they be?

For me, it comes down to this:

1) Food
2) Water
3) A way to cook it

Here’s how that actually plays out in real life:

🥩 Dehydrate / freeze-dry food → stores long-term
💧 Hydrate it with filtered water → now it’s usable
🔥 Cook it on a fast, fuel-flexible stove → now it’s a real meal

Miss one of those… and the whole system starts to fall apart.

No water? → food stays dry
No heat? → limited meals, no sanitation
No food? → well… that one’s obvious
🧠 So I’m curious:

💬 Which part of this do you feel MOST prepared for right now?

A) Food storage
B) Water
C) Cooking / heat
D) Honestly… still working on all of it

👇 Drop A, B, C, or D

No right answer — just interesting to see where people are at.

💧🔥 When all three come together…
that’s when a plan actually works. PortaWell offers highly efficient fast cooking rocket stoves called PortaHeat

When the Power’s Out, What’s Your Cooking Plan? 🍲🔥

In an emergency, food is only as good as your ability to cook it. Microwaves, ovens, and electric stoves? Useless when the grid goes dark.

Most people turn to propane — but here’s the problem: propane runs out fast. And once it’s gone, so is your ability to cook.

That’s why we built PortaHeat + TurboHeat.
👉 PortaHeat: portable, reliable, and clean-burning.
👉 TurboHeat: turns it into a high-output stove, ready to boil, fry, or cook full meals.
👉 Fueled by wood — renewable, storable, and far easier to find than propane in an emergency.

Canned food. Rice. Beans. Even fresh game. With PortaHeat + TurboHeat, you’ve got a cooking solution that works anywhere, anytime — long after propane is gone.

Don’t wait for the outage to figure it out.
Build your emergency cooking plan today — because eating cold beans out of a can isn’t a plan.

PortaHeat + TurboHeat — Cook without the grid.

PortaWell is the best and most economical portable water filtration system for emergency, food storage, off grid, or overlanding/camping situations. See the details and reviews at myportawell.com

We stock shelves with a two-year supply of food, but what about the water to rehydrate that food? Not to mention that safe and drinkable water is as important if not more critical than food to sustain life. Water is heavy and bulky and requires care. Storing water or bottled water is a really good thing to have and do for the short term emergency or need, but it is impossible to carry or store enough water for the longer term emergency or off grid situations.

What do you do today? Hope the emergency doesn’t last too long? Hope the kitchen faucet still works? Hope that a straw or backpack filter will last long enough and give enough water? Hope someone or some agency will send you a truckload of water or provide a solution?

If you’ve stored food, you aren’t making those assumptions — so what’s the water solution?

Don’t just buy a filter system and put it in your storeroom and think you’re covered — water is the universal solvent and water filtering is complex. Here’s what we recommend:

1. Make a plan and find out which water sources are nearby and rank them by cleanest to dirtiest. The cleaner the water source the easier to make it safe to use.

2. Learn about water contaminants and what it takes to filter water from your selected water sources so it’s safe and drinkable. We’re not talking about removing fluoride or making reverse osmosis water. This isn’t boutique water. This is water that will keep you alive for years to come and will not make you sick or die.

3. Obtain the equipment or tools that will help you create safe drinking water for you, your family, or your group.

4. Test out the equipment and if you want send samples before and after to the lab to know if you need to make some adjustments so you have confidence in the ability to produce safe drinking water.

We developed PortaWell as a tool for your toolbox. It’s a system. There is no magic switch or button. We can guide you and share information but It’s up to you to know and be prepared to use this tool for your situation to save lives.
