Mecha Warehouse

It's with our utmost gratitude that I'd like to announce that all of Mecha Warehouse's operations are finally coming to a full close. Over the past 6 months we've been hard at work shipping final orders and winding down operations. Kate and I have been gradually starting to feel the weight lifting and space opening in our lives again. While I'm sure we'll miss the excitement of running the business, we're enjoying having the space to spend more time at home with family.

Last month we were able to complete the -Redacted III- contest. I'd like to extend a huge thank you to Sean for his help with judging (and everything else he did to make Mecha Warehouse a success). If you happened to miss the entry and winners announcements you can find them over on our YouTube channel.

At the end of March we were able to break lease and close down the warehouse. A significant part of that was the help from another hobby shop, Wise Guys Hobbies (wiseguyshobbies.com). This help came in the form of a purchase of our remaining inventory as well as a good portion of our fixtures and equipment. Been a while since I've been at the bench so I'm hoping snapping some of these WIP pics of the '30MM Sub Machine Squad" for my diorama will help get me inspired to get back to work. One more unit to paint then it's time to get the base finished! What's your oldest WIP project?

Very interesting looking build here! Hermit used the HG Acguy to modernize an 80's era Agguguy kit. The compound eye was removed from the head piece and placed on a soft plastic surface and movable by using magnets. Ever build any old kits?

What out of the box weathering techniques have you used? Matt used a frosted matte coat here for a base for weathering.
