Manaia Baby Designs Manaia Baby Designs' journey began when my daughter, Naia was born. I made headbands to adorn all her little outfits.

The headbands soon became a necessity whenever going out, as even at 15 months old, she had no hair and would often be mistaken for a boy. The headbands have helped to reveal the "manaia" girl that she is. (Manaia means "pretty" in the Samoan language and my little Naia is half Samoan.) Naia's hair is starting to finally come in (yeah!), making those headbands look that much more adorable; she con

tinues to receive multiple compliments on them wherever she goes. Naia and I wanted to share these headbands with other manaia babies and little girls; hence, the creation of Manaia Baby Designs.
