Comprised of 85,000 square-feet of curated retail, restaurant and mixed-use space, SALT at Our Kaka‘ako is a dynamic city block designed for exploration and engagement. This special gathering place in the heart of Our Kaka‘ako is where new makers and new ideas converge. SALT at Our Kaka‘ako is where urban island culture intersects with buzzworthy food, one-of-a-kind shopping and innovative events.

Where you’ll always find something surprising, just around the corner. Kamehameha Schools is a private, charitable educational trust endowed by the will of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the great-granddaughter and last direct descendant of King Kamehameha I. During her lifetime, Princess Pauahi witnessed the rapid decline of the Hawaiian population. The Princess knew that education would be key to the preservation of the Hawaiian language and the survival of her culture, so in an enduring act of aloha, she left a gift upon her passing – 375,000 acres of ancestral land. She instructed the trustees of her estate to use the land to educate her people. Today, her endowment supports Kamehameha Schools, an educational system that serves thousands of Hawaiian learners in Hawaii and across the nation. As with all of its projects, SALT at Our Kaka‘ako effectively supports the Kamehameha Schools mission by furthering the education of Hawaiian children.

Village Beer Hawaii is turning 10! 🍻 Join us at SALT at Our Kakaʻako on Saturday, August 22, from 5–11 PM for an anniversary bash filled with good beer, good food, and good vibes. 🎉

The celebration will feature three special collaboration beer releases with Beer Lab HI, Hana Koa Brewing Co., and Howzit Brewing, plus tunes from Slopoke Rawdriguez and a special EARL HAWAII | Honolulu Sandwich Shop pop-up (from our sister center, Keawe Retail at Our Kaka‘ako!) serving up ʻono grinds. 🤙

Guests can also snag a limited-edition 10th-anniversary T-shirt and look forward to special kegs tapped throughout the evening. 🌟

Enjoy authentic German festival beers 🍺, brats from Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room 🌭, Bavarian pretzels and treats from German Bakery 🥨, the return of the Stein Hoisting Competition 💥, and live music on both dates by Mike Lewis featuring The Matterhorns and Honolulu Brass Quintet. 📯🎶
