The Pacific Islands Ocean Exploration Center invites you and your community to our upcoming After Hours Film Screening on December 11th. Their center—located in the center courtyard of Aloha Tower Marketplace—is a free-admission visitor space dedicated to sharing the stories, culture, and significance of the Pacific Islands Region’s National Marine Sanctuaries: Papahānaumokuākea National Marine Sanctuary, Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, and National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa.

Join them for an evening featuring Moananuiākea: One Ocean. One People. One Canoe, a powerful film documenting the historic Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage. Created by the Polynesian Voyaging Society, the film highlights the deep relationship between people and the ocean and follows navigators who traveled thousands of miles across the Pacific using traditional wayfinding techniques to inspire global conversations about cultural stewardship and ocean conservation.
