Ptarmigan Arts is a member-owned cooperative gallery that offers Alaskan artists a venue for exhibition and year-round sales of their artwork. Local member artists display and market their own art and handle all aspects of running the business. Members serve as "artist of the day" to staff the gallery and provide their artistic expertise in assisting customers. Learn more about the gallery on our

The gallery makes an exhibition space available for weekend "pop-up" shows on a year-round basis, participates in community First Friday events, and awards scholarships to local high school students who are interested in pursuing artistic endeavors. The range of media includes watercolor and acrylic paintings, lithographs, photography, ceramic arts, jewelry, fiber/wearable arts, fused and stained glass, beach stone lamps, wood turnings and carvings, fine art prints, and cards.

The sandhill cranes are back. Shorebirds are flocking. Songbirds are returning. Let's celebrate birds! Ptarmigan Arts Gallery's "Wings Over Homer" show of bird-themed art does just that. You'll find original paintings, glasswork, jewelry, fabric arts, prints and cards, mosaics, woodturnings and carvings, coasters, bookmarks, stickers, and magnets -- all items may be taken at time of purchase. The show runs through May 28. Open 7 days a week, 10 am to 6 pm.

Ptarmigan Arts Gallery Presents - drum roll please - "Wings Over Homer" A member artist show celebrating all the birds we call our neighbors in an amazing variety of ways. Paintings, quilts, glass, photography and more. Beginning Friday May 1 and open the entire month of May.

Ptarmigan Arts Gallery is celebrating by presenting "Wings Over Homer". We will showcase many Ptarmigan artists and different media, featuring the birds we love and live with. Here is a small sample of some of the amazing artwork to be shown.
Opening on First Friday, May 1st and running all month. FREE!
Whether you are local or a visitor for the Shorebird Festival, you won't want to miss this.
