For your consideration is this original artists badge from the 1st Annual New York City Tattoo Convention. The event took place on May 15th through the 17th in 1998. Excellent collectors condition.
This was the first year tattooing was legal in NYC since 1961 after a hepatitis outbreak caused wide spread panic which turned into a full on prohibition. This comes from the collection of Keith Ciaramello, who was the original owner/the artist.

Some dust from storage. From the Jim Sotet collection. Sotet was a Mercury Records Executive from the 1970s until his retirement in the mid 2000s!

Heres one of, if not THE, craziest thing I have ever owned. This here is a signed album from Peter Todh, one of the original Wailers who went on to release numerous solo albums until his untimely death in 1987.
Signed to Mercury Records Executive Jim Sotet, it reads, "Dear Jim: Whats your wifes name? My very best - Please pick 7 singles from this LP - Love "Pete"(Very Close friend of Mickie)".
Peter Tosh wasnt know to sign very much. This is an extremely rare example.
From the Jim Sotet collection. Sotet was a Mercury Records Executive from the 1970s until his retirement in the mid 2000s. Vinyl is also in unplayed, near mint condition.

I would entertain a serious offer, but definitely not in any rush to get rid of this.

We all listen to our favorite bands, whether on the radio or on a turntable. We use music to describe our every fiber of beings, even sorting ourselves into subcultures based on preferences. But through all of this, most people will never think of their favorite bands before the success and the fame. They hardly ever think about the process that goes into finding like minded guys who you can depend on and trust in not only a brotherly way, but a professional way.
This clipping from a German rock newspaper from 1978, shows an ad placed with very identifiable writing style with a call name of Mojo and a phone number leading to the UK. Officially The Meteors hit the scene in 1980 but I believe this to be an ad placed probably by P. Paul Fenech looking for members or maybe gigs? Some more research to do but I think this may be an incredible piece of Psychobilly history!
