Had a sweet weekend at the The Bear 100 in Laona Wisconsin. Saturday morning was a frosty 27 degrees F when I got up but the sun came out and the day turned out gorgeous. We had a steady stream of bikes come into the tent to get their chains cleaned and waxed. There were quite a few repeats, folks we had waxed their chains last year. The feedback was very positive with claims that the chain wax lasted well into their riding season. One couple claimed that they put on 700 miles before they felt they needed to relube. The machine worked flawlessly, and with no problems from the air compressor or even a generator blip. We've come a long way since the first appearance at the 2019 Chequamegon MTB Fest.
The Bear 100 is a fantastic event with a great vibe. Friendly event with a lot of comradery amongst riders. Thank you! to all those that entrusted their bikes to us. I hope to see you at the next event. BTW we will be at the Epic Bike Fest in Cable WI. June 5-7th

We plan on taking our prototype VonBuckinator out on the road again this summer to various bike events. We will be cleaning and hot waxing chains for whomever entrusts their bikes to us. Here is the current list of upcoming events. Be there or be square!

Better chain cleaning, better chain waxing. We have been spending the winter working on everything VonBuckinator. The lessons learned at events with the prototype have been invaluable. The VB next Gen is designed and in the process of being built. Our chain test rig has been updated and we have been testing new advanced Blue Whahoo formulas. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better! First event of the year The Bear 100. Can't wait!

If I was riding I would definitely do this one. Strap the stuff on the bike and head on out. Not as far as Fairbanks but twice as fun!

Mrs. VonBuckinator and I are pleasantly pooped. We set up the VonBuckinator yesterday and cleaned and waxed 45 chains and then did another 85 today. The Iceman Cometh Challenge is an awesome event with over 5000 riders and something for everyone. A great vibe. Feedback on the results of the VonBuckinator cleaning and waxing has been extremely positive. A lot of returning customers that were very pleased with the performance and longevity of the Blue Whahoo Chain Wax from last years event. A shout out to Gunner who had his chain waxed on Friday and took third in his age class on Saturday (he had us do it last year before the race and he came in first.). Everyone is asking where they can come and get this done. Waxing chains has exploded and everyone wants the best and easy solution. The VonBuckinator can deep clean and hot wax a bike chain in a matter of minutes while it is still on the bike. We have the next gen commercial unit designed and are in the process of building the first article. Should be ready in Spring of 2026. We are searching for an early adopter bike shop that would be willing to work with us to see how we can turn this rider interest into a profitable venture.
