Record Genie is moving 1.7 miles down Washington Street to Village Plaza in Holliston, upstairs from Bazels Pizza and Lincoln Liquors. Plan to reopen late October doing retail hours for records, plus cleaning service and hi-fi sales (and turntable repairs) by appointment. Will post updates, and YES it’s true, the British Candy Counter will be back!

If you are happy with the cleaning service (or records you've bought from me) would you please leave a review if you haven't already done so. I would really appreciate it.

If you are NOT happy with the cleaning service you have received, or records you have bought from me, please text me on 508-429-3345 so I know where I need to improve.

It's difficult for any business to please everyone, and my few bad reviews in 10 years reflect that. Please know that I cannot perform miracles, and will not accept cleaning jobs or take money from anyone I do not think I can help.

I care deeply about bringing the benefits of ultrasonics and properly cleaned records to a wider audience, and hope that you share that passion and joy!

Hello music lovers!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be reopening the Record Genie store for browsing later this month. I will post again next week with the date. At first it will be by appointment only, and customers who previously bought gift cards will have priority!

I last posted in January 2020 when I was looking forward to what the New Year would bring - Unfortunately it was a Covid shutdown that March.

I'm sure many of you who also have young children went through the same stuff, no school, then hybrid schedule, or even remote school as we did for a while. Somehow we got through it, and we are very lucky that my wife Jen has an excellent work from home job that paid our bills and let me keep the store.

In February 2021 I was hospitalized and told that I needed gallbladder surgery, but they also found a kidney tumour, with a 60-80% chance of Cancer. I had surgery in May 2021 and the tumour was thankfully benign. I've since had two "surveillance" MRI's (every 6 months) and will only need one annually now. Good news.

It's crazy that it's now September 2022. My kids are now 12, 11, and 8. Although I have been cleaning records for customers the whole time, school vacation is over, and I now have more time to devote to my fourth child, the Record Genie store, which turns 3 on October 5th!

With sensible precautions, like masks indoors, it's time to get back to the fun of browsing that I know you all love and have been missing at Record Genie! I will also have some fantastic stereo equipment for sale too!

Happy New Year to all Record Genie customers, those across the USA who "clean by mail" and everyone local who visits the Record Genie store in Holliston MA. The store has been open almost 3 months now, since October 5th. I'd like to thank everyone for their business, it has been so busy! I am having some problems with my Audio Desk record cleaning machine right now, but normal service will soon be resumed, and I look forward to seeing what 2020 brings! Enjoy the music! :)

Closing the store a bit early today at 6:30pm instead of 7pm, so I can visit HCAT for the taping of Heartbeat of Holliston programme, which will air this week on Holliston cable, and will later be made available on their Youtube channel. Thanks to all veterans on Veterans Day, it's also Remembrance Day or "Poppy Day" in the UK. I'm open from 12-3pm as HCAT are coming to interview me, and they'll be filming the store around 1pm I think. Come and visit if you want to be on TV later this month! :)

We had a free raffle drawing for the grand opening on Saturday 5th October, the winners are as follows:

Peter Rasum won the cute Scotch "turntable" tape dispenser, Mark Schultz won the English toffee balloon tin, Deb Azrael won the set of 6 record coasters, and Ken Hjulstrom won the massive stick of Blackpool rock!

I'll be sending emails out to the winners too, please stop by and claim your prizes.
