Big Holland Piano Club news:

There will be four meetings (recitals) instead of 3 this year: 2 first semester & 2 second semester.
There is one recital per date, instead of 2.

OCTOBER 26: The first HPC Meeting/Recital is and will be an ENSEMBLES ONLY program.

Everyone uses scores when ensembles are played. In other words, no memorization required with ensembles.

All types of ensembles are encouraged, with non-member guests, if desired (as long as the piano club member is playing the piano).
Chamber, Duets (two students or teacher/student), Instrumental Solo Accompaniments, Trios, Quartets - you name it!

All meeting days will follow this time schedule:

Sign-in: 4:30 Performance: 4:45 Duration: About one hour

We will talk about performance etiquette and everyone will get a low stress chance to perform. These classes are in addition to regular weekly lessons. Just a reminder! Group classes are this week. Tonight is mostly for students who have just started with me. Tuesday and Thursday is for Late Elementary to Intermediate students and Wednesday is reserved for older students who are more advanced.
All days 4:30-6. The last 20 or so minutes is snack time, so if your child needs to leave a little early, he or she can take the snack along.

No private lessons this week. Lessons as usual next week.

Concentrated focus will be on rhythm for the next few weeks—with drums for dessert.
