Maker of Fine Handmade Violins, Violas & Cellos. At the age of sixteen, Mr. Hernandez moved to Mexico, where he commenced his career as a professional musician.

Services offered by appointment include instrument repair, adjustments and set-up, instrument appraisals, and bow re-hairs. Angel Asbel Hernandez Dominguez was born in Cuba, where he began his studies on the violin at the Manuel Saumell Conservatory in Havana. There he held positions in the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra, the Queretaro Philharmonic, and most recently the OFUNAM philharmonic (at

the Autonomous National University of Mexico), with whom he also performed as soloist on several occasions. Parallel to his career as a violinist, Mr. Hernandez honed his skills as a violin maker at the Luthier’s School of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Queretaro. Since then he has placed his instruments in the hands of professional musicians across Mexico, the United States, and Europe. Mr. Hernandez moved to the United States in 2006. He is currently making instruments on commission for students and professionals in the area, and performs actively as a member of the Nashaway Piano Trio, Orchestra of Indian Hill, and the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, where he serves as Assistant Concertmaster.
