Another day to work on two projects. The first was a finish job. Peyton took the lead again and got this one all finished up. We did run into a little equipment issue with the compressor failing. Luckily we have backups so it delayed the finish an extra hour but after getting that switched out, he buttoned it all up. It turned out amazing and the homeowner was super happy and very complimentary as we finished.
A 6’ cedar privacy fence where privacy meets perfection.

The 4th and final job for the day was a little repair work. The posts were leaning all over so we came in and got things straightened out the best possible. The neighbors vinyl fence limited how much we could straighten some of the posts but nonetheless we got it looking 1000x better. We even repaired the gate latches, rehung one of the gates and did a little magical trim work to get it all to function properly. No more bungee cords to hold things together. We even went around and nailed back in some of the loose nails and added some new nails to pin the pickets back in to hold things tight. The final project for this job was to cut the old, outdated French gothic post toppers off to give it a new fresh look. Now it’s ready for a real good cleaning and some stain. Bringing things back to life!

Job number three finished. A stunning 6’7” semi privacy horizontal pressure treated fence. This fence uses true, traditional 1x material and not fence pickets. Then we dress and cap the ends and top to give it a very clean finished look. Another job, and more satisfying results to add to the craftsmanship.

Job two completed for the day. Posts set last week and today was the day to button it back up.
A beautiful 6’ dog ear cedar privacy. Just enough to create a little visual barrier from the road to allow this homeowner a little peace and comfort.

One of four jobs we worked on today. Finished this little beauty up in downtown New Haven. Simple, clean and functional. Super excited about the way it turned out. Wish the city planning dept would have approved the 8’ tall fence to match the neighbors current height as well as keeping things more matched and uniformed at that location but since it was denied the new 6’ tall was still a viable option for the safety and security this homeowner needed.

What a gorgeous day to get another fence underway, this time we visited Garrett to get this jobs going. It was a tad breezy this morning but it was still a great day. 50 posts dug and set. We will be coming back next week to finish this 6’ pressure treated dog ear privacy fence. And as they say: “strength you can see, and security you can feel.” So too shall we provide that peace and comfort for this homeowner.

Today was a great day and even a tad bit of a lucky day. We were fortunate enough to be able to tear out and haul away the original fence yesterday. We were hesitant on locates being cleared in time. AEP (power) was overhead but they took an extra two days to clear the dig area (even though we knew power came in overhead) 🤷🏻‍♂️. Nonetheless, we anticipated things being cleared in time so we kept things on schedule. (We did have a contingency plan to start another fence if it came down to desperation.) By removing and hauling away the old fence yesterday, that gave us enough time today to swing back through to get the new posts set before the rain and storms rolled in. This will be another stunning 6’ cedar privacy fence when it’s all finished up.

The second job we got in for the day. Tore out the old original fence that was falling over and got the new posts set up. This was an interesting little project from the beginning. The homeowner originally requested a 8’ tall privacy fence to match up with the neighbors 8’ tall fence. However, when they got the permit they got a little surprise by the limitations set from the planning dept. The homeowner wanted to try and get a little more privacy and coverage into their backyard from the main road. Not just that, but to stay consistent with the neighbor and match up to their current fence height…. Unfortunately that plan got denied by the planning dept. Nonetheless, we adjusted back to the original 6’ tall height and will make that still look amazing. We did have to contend with cutting out an access on the back entry asphalt driveway finding two layers of asphalt. We got it cut out and got a solid hole dug so we could get a post in place for the new fence line. It turned out great. We will swing back and finish things up and get it all looking gorgeous.
