! We understand the ruggedness of the Hawai'i Island terrain, the extreme diversity of our climate and what it does to our bicycles. The end result is building a bicycle that will meet and exceed the needs of our Big Island clientelle. For example, all of our adult bikes feature a pro-build assembly complete with waterproof lubrication of front and rear hubs, bottom bracket extraction and waterproof lubrication, as well as waterproof lubrication to all bolts. Full suspension bikes also receive lubrication and proper torque to all pivot bolts and linkage systems. Most bikes require between one and two hours for such an intense assembly, valued at $120. In addition, new bike sales include pro-fitting, adjusting bikes to the rider to maximize comfort as well as performance.

Aloha, Hilo Bike Hub applauds the Hawaiʻi state legislature for creating clear laws pertaining to e-bike use and defining exactly what a e-bicycle is. Hilo Bike Hub has been following these guidelines since day one of supplying e-bicycles to our Hawaiʻi community. We hope all Hawaiʻi e-bike vendors follow these new laws. The 750 watt limit to the motor is huge, and now the more powerful e-Bikes are classified as mopeds, meaning license, insurance and registration are mandatory.
Mahalo to the State for stepping up and helping create a safer cycling community.

Trek designed Ponto Go! Is a new class 3 electric assist e-bike which will Take you up to 28 mph, and includes a throttle!
This 20”x 4.0 tire sized bike has Room to pack a rider on the back(comes with rear foot pegs) without front wheel wobble that is very common on newer e-bikes on the market.
