14 years ago on July 1, 2011 I opened Hangin' Custom Picture Framing. Best thing I've ever done. I love being creative and I do what I love! Thank you Sue Rude for making me do it! Thank you Kay Long for being my back up! I appreciate all my clients and all my girls! Bring on 15!

The holiday season is fast approaching!! Custom picture framing can be a great gift, especially if it's ready in time!! Please remember the usual turn around time is 4-5 weeks for a full custom job with matting, glass, mounting and a frame. So now is the time to bring in your orders to be ready for Solstice, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Christmas gifting! We're open 10am-5pm Monday thru Saturday and Noon-5pm on Sundays. See you soon! Two people came in to the shop together to get the same thing framed. They laid out all of the concert tickets they had attended together and took a photo. Then they had it blown up and made into a poster. But since the art was going to two different locations they opted for differing mat board colors. The first one is red with a hand colored black core, where the second one is a double mat with a teal on top of a black mat. They both agreed on the black rustic frame and museum glass.

One of the fun parts of custom picture framing that the clients rarely get to experience is the thrill of each element of the design being added. Clients usually bring in their unframed piece and then come back to pick up their completed frame job.

Picture 1--is the art after being mounted in the vacuum heat press onto Acid Free Preserve Ultra mounting board which is completely reversible.

Picture 2--is with the acid free double mat added.

Picture 3--is with the frame laying on it without the glass added.

Picture 4--is the completed frame job after the glass has been added and the paper and wire on to the back of the frame.

It's such a lovely view of Mt. St. Helens from Scappoose, Oregon.

A client brought in this print of an old Russian Orthodox Icon that he received from a family member. He was advised to go to a local custom picture framer and make sure he puts Museum Glass on it. So, after mounting on Acid Free Preserve Ultra to make sure it stays nice and flat (and it's reversible) we framed it in this gorgeous traditional brown, black, and gold wood frame that has an inside double lip in gold. It turned out so beautiful and the client was so happy when he came to pick it up!!!
