After 2 months of chasing singles, Merewind Adira completed her AKC championship title on May 30,2022 at the Los Encinos Kennel club dog show held in San Bernardino, CA. Many thanks to Judge Shawn James Nichols who gave Winner's Bitch over much younger dogs to her. Her nephew Merewind Carthage went Winner's dog and Best of opposite s*x. A ton of thanks goes to Teena Uyeno for her help and continuous support with handling my dogs. I couldn't have done it without you. Unfortunately the photo shows me "slipping" and I am too embarrassed to post it.

This is Adira's most recent and second major win. She achieved both wins over much younger dogs. This is quite impressive when considering that she is 9 years old and is returning to the show ring after a hiatus due to becoming a mother and surviving a rattlesnake bite.

Mere Wind sloughis at play. It's too hot here during the day so the early morning hours are their time. So glad I don't live in the city or I'd get many visits from Animal Control

Merewind Cheliff (Remmie) and Merewind Carthage (Houdini) on a hot (100 degrees +) day in the high desert. Remus would like to play but Houdini does not. They enjoy the heat for about an hour and then return to the air conditioned house. W
hen it cools, then they play.

Merewind Cyrenaica and Bijou Unique Belle were sloughi stars at the Apple Valley Kennel Club dog show. Cyrenaica took Best of Breed, WD and BOH on Friday 4/9 for a 3-point major under Mr. Bryan Martin, judge, at just 6 months of age! His mother won WB, BOB and BOH on Sunday 4/11, completing the second major toward her championship under Mr. Robert L. Robinson, judge.

Cyrenaica also won his second major taking WD,and BOS on Sunday, 4/10 under. Many thanks to these two judges for their careful evaluations. Also many thanks to those wonderful people who helped me recapture Belle and her son who decided to take an independent tour of the grounds sans their owner. Special thanks to Richard Teunis who helped me get them back. God bless you.

For those who would like to see the pups and their mother in action, four of them along with their mother are entered in the Apple Valley Kennel Club dog show on Friday April 9, 2021 and Sunday April 11 in Victorville, CA. Details about the show can be found at the Jack Bradshaw Dog Show Superintendents website. More information will be available next week.
