One of my favorite parts of jewelry making is choosing stones and colors that work together naturally.
Sometimes a piece starts with choosing a unique stone such as this Dendritic Opal and deciding what wire wrap design would accentuate the stone’s beauty .
In the design process, I’m careful not to cover up the stone’s unique qualities. Even the back of my designs are well thought out out as well.
Jewelry making feels part art and part problem solving which may be why I enjoy it so much after years in education.
