Being a mom is the most wonderful gift I have ever received.

When my first child was born in 2010 I knew that I was sent to Earth to be a mother. On June 26th 2012 my life was forever changed when my daughter Ava was brought into my life only to be carried straight to Heaven. Ava was stillborn at 36 weeks with no cause only leaving us with the unanswered question of why. Ava was given a beautiful white dress and headband with a flower to wear and was wrap

ped in the softest blanket. For twelve hours we gently held her and tried to give her a lifetime of love in the short amount of time we had. There is no way to describe the heartache, sorrow, and pain that that one endures when you lose your baby. About a month after we lost Ava my husband, who could not bear to watch me drown in my tears and desperate to see me smile, brought my 40 year old sewing machine out of the closet and said "why don't you try to make something". To my surprise the sewing helped and after making my first bag I finally smiled. Everything is made with love, sweat, and tears as I am trying to stitch my broken heart. I only hope that the things I make will bring others love and joy to their precious children. I know I will get to hold my baby again, I just have to wait. Until then...
