I'd like to introduce you to the youngest member of our team, my daughter! She loves pushing buttons (like her mother) and just had to play with the trigger on the Toolslider! A lot of people ask how I came up with the Toolslider but what rarely gets asked is why I came up with the Toolslider, and I love to talk about that because that's more important than how. The reason why was to offer what I could to this world to protect that happy little girl in the picture, my amazing wife-her mother, all of my other loved ones, and all of your loved ones as well.
You see, the standard method of storing tools like shovels on contractor trucks is either to have a "backpack toolbox" which is neither cost effective nor covienent or to throw the tools in the box of the truck, and climb up in there when they get to the jobsite to retrieve them. If they're still there, and haven't flown out into traffic risking the health and safety of everyone else on the road. Not to mention the risk to the employees of retrieving their tools from the box without ladders and handrails.
Since this started I've educated myself on the statistics and there are 50,000 accidents in this country every year due to items falling off of trucks/vehicles resulting in 400-500 people losing their life and leaving their loved ones forever. To me this is unacceptable, so instead of complaining I built the Toolslider with the intention of helping more loved ones go home safe every year. I'll never know if or how many lives are saved by it but I'm proud to give business owners and municipalities the option to make the roads safer.
