Meet our Fable House team! 💫

Emma is our Summer Bookstore Assistant. She is an upcoming junior at Freed-Hardeman University. She is majoring in Family Studies and hopes to become a play therapist. At Fable House, Emma is a creative powerhouse and loves to help with our kid-centered events.

Emma's favorite genre to read is romance. She loves art, old movies, and chai tea lattes.

“Lit Fic is about more than what it’s about” 📖💫

For such a short book, this is vast… If you normally enjoy witchy fantasy, this has an ethereal element while still being very grounded and real. The grief is potent, but so is the peace and the beauty. It’s about marriage, childhood, destiny, class stereotypes, expectations, nature, wonder… You might think of “beach reads” as a light and fluffy, fun time book, and those are great. I think this also is a beach read, or a read to enjoy while surrounded by the beauty of the natural world, whatever that looks like where you are… It will put you in a state of mind to appreciate all the beauty of this masterpiece.

Meet our Fable House team! 💫

Our bookstore assistant, Sadie is from Nashville, Tennessee. She is studying accounting at Freed-Hardeman University and has been with Fable House since Spring 2026. Right now, Sadie is on an accounting internship for the summer, but she is kind enough to continue working remotely to help with branding, marketing, and event planning.

Sadie is a social media and branding guru and is always bringing fun ideas to the shop! She loves cooking, her puppy Willow, and of course, reading!

When she isn't recommending books or adding to her incredibly long TBR, you'll probably find her at a coffee shop. Her favorite genres are romance, historical fiction, and thrillers.
