Hillcrest Baskets & Greenhouse is a local family owned and operated farm. Providing 3 greenhouses packed full of seasonal flowers and nursery stock. Carrying potting soil, mulch and a personal maintenance program. Also providing Kentucky Crafted hand made baskets and Kentucky Proud food gift baskets. Basket weaving classes. A spring / summer 12 week CSA and a 4 week fall CSA . Fresh cut flower bouquets . Country eggs , pastured pork and several livestock for petting tours .

Better get your fresh eggs before too many chickens decide they are going broody . They are trying to sit on any eggs in the nest with the desire to hatch theirselves some new babes before winter comes. Sorry to tell them no roosters live with them so they are out of luck on hatching anything .

Last night my 7 year old gbaby ask if she could pick a sunflower from
the sunflower patch I said okay give me a few minutes to get something to cut it with - those stems are tough .
Next thing I know she has a sunflower with a head as big as hers and has broken the stem taller than she is .
About the time I was going to say why didn’t you wait , I thought hmm I recognize that determination. I think she comes from a long line of woman with that trait .

It’s a beautiful day to shop local. Come on out to the farm stand. New items. And the jalapeño strawberry jelly and local honey is back in the stand . Also fruit fruits and veggies. Eat in season summer will be gone in a flash !
