It's been a while since I've posted, and I apologize. I haven't really been doing any refinishing projects lately. I've been really busy. However, I did refinish my vintage desk this past Fall, and I absolutely love it! I thought I'd share. 😊
Before and after. I also added the picture of it in the room in the comments, cause the lighting is different.

"New to me" set all finished. I love them so much! 🥰

Well....my dresser is officially completed. I am over the moon happy with my results. 🥰I'm not a professional, but I worked so hard and I really love it! ❤ The hardware was so gross. Lots of years of wear, oils, dirt and tarnish. That was the hardest part really. LOL! I was using Brasso and it was going so dang slow. Then I went with lemon and baking soda and let them soak overnight. I used steel wool and an old toothbrush. It worked, but took too much time. Wiam used his muriatic acid and let them soak for like a minute then I used baking soda and scrubbed a little. They look great! Not perfect, but they are old and I love them!! ❤️ Anyway, before and after pics below. 😊
Currently sanding the drawers on my chest of drawers. I'm hoping to complete it today. 🙏
I did end up taking off the back and the drawers off the dresser. Didn't like it.

Today I picked up my new 100+ year old dressers, to me. I cannot believe the condition. So good!!! It's insane! The couple was in their 80s and moving so that their son and daughter could take care of them.❤️❤️ They were so sweet and so happy that they were going to someone who was gonna make them beautiful again and love them. ❤️Yup, that's me!! 😁 I only paid $125 for both! They are Mahogany and the drawers work perfectly!! The top drawer of the dresser has a sliding little wooden tray, like a jewelry tray. I can't even handle how cute these are! I'm so excited. They are solid and heavy. I'm gonna clean up the hardware and put it back on. ☺️ They are gonna be part paint and part stain.

This took time. Whoo! I used Citristrip to get all of the really shiny laquer off. Well, it got stuck on there, and got super gunky. 🙄I followed the directions, but the guy at Home Depot said it's probably the different stuff they used back then. I only left it on for about 45 min. You can leave it on for 24 hours. Anyway, got some paint stripper after wash, and I literally scrubbed it with a cloth and used steel wool when I needed. Finally, after about 3 hours and my arm almost falling off (for real though. Its so sore!), it was gone. Then I sanded it some. I was initially gonna go light wood, that changed. When I got to the original stain under all the crap, I loved it! So I found a color of stain close to it, just to make it look new again. It's a gel stain, so it gives it a brilliance, but not a high shine. I painted the base and the trim on the shelf all a black-ish color and added some black velvet lace to the shade. I really love it. Still has that vintage feel. ❤️ My loft has big windows and a lot of light so the walls and furniture are gonna be darker. It may not look like much of a change, but trust me. IT IS. LOL! It really just needed some love, and a good home.

Project, " husband's little free bar from the side of the road", completed! (Before pics are first). It's not a huge bar, or anything fancy, but I love it, and it deserves to be loved and used! It was a task due to age. Bolts stripping out, aligning things, fabric being dumb and not cooperating, etc, AND...it's SO FREAKING HOT, 110! Which made it worse. Bleh! We ditched the stools, because the tops were fabric and they were ripped and impossible to refabric. So, I bought 3, 30" metal stools with backs off of Market Place for $60 and painted them the same color as the bar. I'm getting little cushions for them. The fabric on the bar was still in great shape, so I just spray painted them. Worked great! Voila, brand new, super sturdy all metal bar, AND now not an eyesore. 😁 Bar is open and ready to serve some dranks! Again, thanks to my Mommy for sweating, painting, tearing apart and putting back together with me. I love you to the moon and back! ❤

I've been wanting white lace curtains in my dining room, so I bought some. I loved them; however, I didn't love the color of the walls (antique white) with them. I wanted a warmer wall to soften the room. I grabbed some paint and did it on Sunday. I love how it turned out. ❤

HAPPY TUESDAY ALL!!

I need a change. I've been wanting lace curtains for my dining room. This will happen. Not changing anything else though. There is a pic on her of my dining room.

Also, I've been wanting to paint my cabinets again. Lol! Keeping the pulls I have, just painting the bottoms a pretty green and tops white. I also have white subway tile backslash to put up, with dark grout. It will be one of the greens below. What do you think? They are all similar.

Since I've ready painted my cabinets twice now, I just have to get motivated to start. 🤣

Have an amazing week! ❤
