I’m pretty sure I shed a few tears when I woke up and the sun was out ☀️ 🥰 I have been happily sitting in a chair DIRECTLY in the sunshine ever since (because I’m sure it won’t last), ignoring all my responsibilities so that I can feed my little knitting, sunshine-loving soul 🧶

Not going to lie: this winter is beginning to feel never ending! But I know that one day, the weather will turn warm and won’t go back so I’m trying to sit tight and use this time to finish up a few projects and make plans for my summer knits!

☀️ Are you a big summer knitter/crafter? My yarn knows no season; I go year ‘round 😅 but I do switch my projects up and definitely won’t be making any heavy blankets or pieces that sit in my lap and get sweaty 🥵

Finished a precious little gift set over the weekend and I’m super happy with how it turned out! 🧶

The bonnet is the “Beloved” bonnet by Tin Can Knits and I used Hayfield Soft Twist yarn by Sirdar in the color “Olive” 🌱

The blanket is a pattern that my friend, Becky, was making at knitting group one day and I’m pretty sure it is of her own invention 🥰 I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in the color “Linen” and then crocheted a quick scalloped edge onto it using the same “Olive” yarn that I used for the bonnet 🫰🏼

I like to use durable, washer/dryer safe yarn for baby pieces since they are bound to go through a fair amount of wear and tear 😉

I’ve made a new Instagram profile and I’ve got all kinds of feelings about it 👀
On the one hand, I never want to deal with ANYTHING Meta again! But on the other hand, I have so many really great friends through my Instagram Fiddle Ridge account so I’ve decided to begin again with no expectations 🥰

Super sad to have to say that for some reason, Meta has permanently deleted my personal Facebook account as well as ALL of my Instagram accounts, INCLUDING MY FIDDLE RIDGE ACCOUNT 😩

No idea why but the best I can tell, my main, personal Facebook account was flagged by their Meta people (which is odd because I’ve had that account for legit 20-years and never had a problem) but whoever went wrong, all of my posts, reels, all of the 52.8K followers, all the work I’ve put into that account for the past 11-years is gone 😭

I’m posting this so that hopefully word will spread and people won’t think I ditched them… I’ve made some genuine friends through that account and now that it’s gone, I admit to feeling a little untethered.
I’m still here, but I’m not quite sure what to think about all of this.

How has life been treating you these days? ☀️ ☕️

I’ve been so content enjoying the beautiful mess that is spring that I barely pick up my phone unless I’m taking a picture 🐦‍⬛🌱 the days are longer and I’ve been starting my days sitting in the window, soaking up the sunshine and drinking my coffee, and then ending my days in my rain boots and enjoying the birds singing goodnight and listening to the owls saying good evening 🦉

What does the end of April look like where you’re at? What are you working on? 🧶
