Where lingerie meets the world of fantasy literature. Come dressed in the fantasy look of your dreams and step into two enchanted realms: a candlelit dark academia castle of old books, black mirrors and moody light, and an enchanted forest meadow of blossoms, flowers and twinkle lights. Selfie stations in both.

The VooDoo Kiss Collection by Aubade has landed. 💙

Some boxes you open slowly. This was one of them.

Aubade's VooDoo Kiss is exactly the kind of piece we opened this boutique to carry. French made embroidery traced onto sheer tulle in a serpentine motif, shot through with gold lurex thread so it catches the light as you move. The n**e illusion effect makes the embroidery look like it's been drawn directly onto the skin. Even the small details are considered, right down to the hardware.

Why Your Straps Keep Falling Down

Constantly pulling your straps up? It's probably not the straps' fault.

Here's what most people do: crank the straps tighter and tighter until they're digging trenches into your shoulders. Here's what's actually happening: your straps are being asked to do a job they were never designed for.

A well fitting bra gets about 80% of its support from the band, not the straps. So when straps slip, it's almost always one of two things:

The band is too big. A loose band rides up your back, which changes the angle of the straps and sends them sliding right off your shoulders. Tightening the straps just pulls the band up higher. You're chasing the symptom, not the cause.

The cup shape isn't right for your frame. Strap placement varies a lot between styles and brands. If you have sloped or narrow shoulders, a bra with wide set straps will never stay put, no matter how short you make them. You need a style with straps set closer to the neck.

The fix isn't a tighter strap. It's usually a smaller band, a cup adjustment, or a completely different style. And no, shoulder dents are not just part of wearing a bra. That's your body telling you something is off.

Top 40 out of 400+. We'll take it. 🖤

The Evocative Atelier was once again nominated for a Best of Intima Award and named a finalist, landing in the top 40 of more than 400 boutiques across the U.S. and Canada. We didn't take home the trophy, but this is our second nomination and finalist finish in just three years of business.

So what is the Best of Intima Awards? Presented annually by The Best of Intima, North America's premier trade publication for lingerie, loungewear and swimwear, it's the highest honor for independent intimate apparel retailers. This isn't an online popularity vote. Nominees are judged by a jury of representatives from the world's leading premium lingerie brands, people who see hundreds of stores a year. To be chosen from a field that large, by that jury, twice in three years, tells us the people who set the bar think we're clearing it.

Our owner Danielle and Carolyn, our consultant of many talents, spent this past weekend in New York for Curve, the leading North American intimate apparel trade show, previewing collections and meeting with designers whose pieces will land in our fitting rooms next season. At the awards ceremony they were honored to share a table with Yana from Maison Close, the French luxury house whose artistry we've long admired.

Here's why this matters. We opened on a promise: every body deserves an expert fitting and a beautiful, luxurious experience, not just the bodies inside a narrow size range. Size inclusivity isn't a marketing line for us, and a proper bra fitting isn't a five minute measurement. It's a skill we train for and invest in every single day. That standard is hard. It costs more. It takes longer. And every so often, the industry looks up and confirms it's worth it.

To our clients, the ones who trust us, who send their sisters and best friends, who tell us we changed how they feel getting dressed in the morning: this belongs to you too. You're the reason we set the bar as high as we did.

Measuring yourself at home gives you a starting point. It does not give you your size.

Breast shape, projection, root width and sister sizing all affect where you actually land. Two women can measure identically and need completely different bras.

This is why fitting in person will always tell you more than any tape measure.

At The Evocative Atelier, it's where lingerie meets lifestyle, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for helping women feel confident, beautiful, and understood.

We offer bra fittings 7 days a week, plus we're open to walk-ins every Friday & Saturday from 11am to 6pm. This role is all about creating warm, personalized experiences for every client who walks through our doors.
