The shotgun/pistol only zones are coming to an end but remember when this will take effect. Jan 2026...this will not include this year's hunting season so dont dust off Grandpa's Ole .30-06 just yet.

A tip on range etiquette (primarily unattended public ranges). KEEP IT CLEAN. What you bring in, you bring out. This leaving your old shot up used targets and targeting materials for "the next guy to use" is UNACCEPTABLE. If you put it up, take it down and take it with you. If you arrive and see the person before you left a mess, step up, clean it up and take that material with you to dispose of. Yes you may have to wait a few minutes for the rest of the firing line to finish their round of shooting before you can go down range and retrieve your targeting materials, that's all part of the game. We have very few public ranges in this area, owning a firearm is your right, having a place to shoot it is not.
